That overjoyed feeling when you find out you have a uncle, aunt and three cousins in the country, where you thought you were the only family member! Oh and Merry Christmas!
It is that time of the year again where families gather around, exchanging presents, filling themselves with too much food and just overly enjoying themselves! It is Christmas Time!
Ever since I was really little, I loved Christmas. I use to go to bed around seven and wake up at five, demanding everyone wake up so we can open presents.
As I was growing up, a lot of people asked me why I was so happy about Christmas, where families gathered together, when I had hardly any family members. The answer was simple, because I treasured the family members I did have.
I only had my older sister and my mum. They were my only family living in the country. My mum had moved from my home country a couple of weeks before she found out she was pregnant with me.
I was content with my little family and I hope everyone reading this, across the world is content with theirs.
This year is the most depressing Christmas that I've encountered, but I'm determined I am going to spread Christmas cheer all over the world.
So if you're having a roast chicken, a turkey, a bowl of rice, milkshakes and ice cream sundaes (that's not my plan for dinner tonight or anything) please be grateful for the people and food you have around you.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!!!
