Daddy's in jail, Mama's in hell, but baby's still smiling all the time...

The egos are just so huge there's hardly any room for actual talent. So few and so far between are writers who truly deserve their giant following. It amazes me....sorry, just had to say it.

I swear I will only read completed works from now on... :(

Today is my little girl's second birthday!! My first and only, my favorite person in the whole world, my Maci Brielle.  In a perfect world, I would be with her right now.  Instead, I'm at work while she's with my mom.  I just need to emote these feelings of pride and love as the seep from my very soul every time I think of her today.  She is so smart, beautiful, funny and charismatic.  She is the greatest thing I've ever helped to create.   If I could ever do her justice with the written word, I would be satisfied as a writer.  Every time I try I freeze up, though, because I just can't write from a place of happiness.  I've always drawn from my pain when writing, and Maci is the opposite of that.  One day, though, I would really love to give her something beautiful from her mama.  She deserves that and so much more.  It's just me and her against the world, after all.

Last night I actually saw my inspiration for one of the characters in my book.  It was so awkward, I tried so very hard to avoid eye contact but I'm pretty sure he recognized me.  He's literally just the physical inspiration for Adam, nothing similar in personalities.  Have you ever known someone all your life that you felt like you missed your chance with? I wish I would have just said hey, but I suck at life.

Not that I have followers, but I wrote my third chapter. It's a bit smutty. I don't think I'm good at smut. Would love an opinion. I didn't even get to the really good stuff yet but it's coming.
