@12dinosaurs I can understand where this is coming from. I've been MIA for a while now, and some of you are upset about it. That's understandable.
However, I've already mentioned that I'm someone who rewrites a chapter at least ten times before posting it. I can't just post something I'm unhappy with and call it a day. I hope you understand that I'm not being lazy or intentionally delaying updates. I simply prefer my writing to feel right to me before I share it with all of you, and that takes time.
I'm human. I have a life, responsibilities, and commitments outside of writing. This isn't a paying job either. It's something I do because I genuinely love it.
All I ask for is a little understanding. Writing takes time, and honestly, it doesn't help when the only comments I see are asking for updates. When I open the app, see a bunch of notifications, and get excited, only to find the same comments about updating, it can be a little discouraging. It doesn't motivate me or make the writing process any faster.
If the wait is too long for you (and I completely understand if it is), you're welcome to put the story aside for now and come back to it later. I don't want to force myself to write faster and end up burning out. Writing is something I cherish deeply, and I've sacrificed a lot to keep doing it. The last thing I want is to ruin that passion by turning it into pressure.
I believe I've mentioned before that, realistically, the most I can manage is around two chapters a month.
As for the next update, you can expect the next chapter either by the end of this month or the beginning of next month. I don't plan on rushing my writing, but I do want to get back to posting at least one chapter a month consistently.
Thank you for reading this far. I truly appreciate your excitement and support, and I'm sorry I can't update as frequently as some of you would like. Thank you for sticking around regardless. It means a lot to me ❤️
