*Dead to sin, alive to Christ*

Hey guys hope you’ve been well. I haven’t been as active as usual because university deadlines are coming up. I have a dissertation to write and I wanted to start it this week. It’s due in May and I wanna do it on the 90s Essays have been quite harder than I thought they’d be (except one) but by the grace of God I’ve been able to do them in one setting.

This week is pretty busy too but I’ve been wanting to post something for a while. I can no longer read books throughout the week, I now have to dedicate one day of the week to read everything instead & I think I prefer it that way. Unless I’m lucky ✨

So the topic I wanted to talk about today is dead to sin and alive in Christ. For my quiet time today I studied 2 Samuel 13:1-21 which was about Amnon and Tamar. It links to the topic but I was thinking about the topic before I read this. But I didn’t really know what to say so I guess this was confirmation.

I’ll briefly summarise what happened. Amnon had a brother called Absalom who had a pretty sister called Tamar. Both Amnon and Absalom were David’s sons but Tamar wasn’t their biological sister. Amnon was in love with Tamar but didn’t know what to do about it so his adviser Jonadab told him to pretend to be sick and ask David for Tamar.

There’s a lot of sin in this story. Pretending to be sick is lying. Kinda malingering too (pretending to be sick or ill to put off responsibilities) Not to mention Absalom was selfish and used Tamar for his own personal gain. He did something to her without her consent. He ultimately paid for this through death. Absalom killed him for what he did, which reminded me of Romans 6:23. Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

So yeah, make sure to reduce your sin and pray for forgiveness when you do. When you pray for forgiveness, try not to repeat the same sin again. I don’t think I can say “stop sinning” in general because we’re human and no one’s flawless. We’re bound to sin. But we can definitely make a conscious effort to reduce it.

To finish off, I wanted to quote James 4:17- whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. I pray God forgives us all our sins - the past and present ones and we make it to heaven. He will write our names in the book of life amen xx

          	  ——

See you soon & hope I helped someone today xx

Hi @sereniity-. How do I let the admins know that I'm done with the assignment? Also, are you okay with the comments I left?

sereniity-

@WanderingFlyer hey sorry for late reply but yeah I’m happy with the comments you left. I think you comment on the book but tbh I’m not sure. I’ll get back to your book this week. I’ve been unable to read books lately because I have a lot of deadlines coming up & a disso to write

@sereniity- Yeah, I've edited my note a month ago where I made it clear that the characters and their behavior every thing is out of my delusion and it's written in a certain way to make the stry comical. However, general readers actually wouldn't mind cause they'll eventually understand that the stry is written in a dramatic or comical way like cdrama or kdramas. And about Jungkook, the chapters where he might have intentionally planned revenge or something, I've rewritten those. Cause that makes jk look like the bad guy. And I didn't want that. And all thanks to you for pointing those out. But about jk's arrogance or something. I'll keep it. Cause I eventually love his manly dominant aura *giggles shyly*
Again thanks a lot for helping me. Ily❤

Hi @sereniity- Tysm for reading PTP, I'll get started on your book either this evening or by tomorrow morning. I don't usually check Wattpad so I didn't see your request to be partners in time and I thought you'd gotten someone else. So sorry about that, I'll log in more often so I don't miss any more messages. Thanks again ❤️
