            she's  not  *that*  intense.   don't  let  the  breaking  and  entering  cloud  your  judgement!   {  he's  remarkably  sincere  despite  what  may  very  well  be  this  stand  against  common  sense,   far  too  smitten  with  the  strange  girl  who  asked  every  possible  question  about  their  dad's  weaponry  to  care  about  what  may  be  illogical  now. }   i  promise,  she's  nicer  than  she  thinks.   she  could  probably  use  another  friend.

            it's... uh,   complicated.   {  about  as  complicated  as  six  bullet  wounds  and  a  mad  scientist-esque  father  can  get,   anyway.   it's  a  story  lucah  is  admittedly  not  fond  of  telling,  the  sting  of  the  following  four  years  of  silence  from  the  twin  he  can  feel  no  matter  the  distance  still  not  healed.   even  so,   lina  is  finally  getting  comfortable  enough  to  ask  questions -  how  could  he  say  no?   with  an  awkward  laugh  lucah  shakes  his  head,  careful  to  not  make  eye  contact  as  he  flips  another  pancake.  }   he  got  shot  a  few  years  ago.   reginald  didn't —  he  had  some  serum  from  pogo,  i  guess,  ready  to  go  in  case  one  of  us  happened  to  be  bleeding  out  on  a  tuesday  afternoon.   ( .. )   obviously,   y'know,   it  worked.   just...  made  him  big.   and  hairy.   you  want  blueberry  or  chocolate  chip?

            he'll  get  over  it.   seriously,  he  just  has..  a  unique  way  of  thinking.   {  and  could  probably  use  a  diagnosis  or  two,  but  suggesting  that  now  would  only  get  him  weird  looks  and  a  probable  lapse  of  trust.  his  smile  becomes  an  easier  thing  with  her  confession,  soothed  partially  by  the  laughter  preceding  it.  }   so  do  i.   when  i  first  got  here,  he  tried  making  me  dinner —  remy  told  me  about  a  diner  down  the  street,   but  frankly,  i  don't  think  i  can  trust  her  opinion  either   :/

            {  oh,  this  is  adorable.   lucah  doesn't  bother  masking  his  growing  endearment  as  madeleina  continues  to  examine  the  screen,  unable  to  care  more  about  a  blue  hedgehog  nearly  as  old  as  he  is  when  lina  is  beside  him.  }   no,  uh,  he's  not  a  pokémon.   he's  like —  you  remember  how  pikachu  is  able  to  come  out  of  the  pokéball  and  shoot  lightning?   sonic  is  like.. a  super  fast  hedgehog  who  goes  on  missions  to  stop  this  mad  scientist  guy.             . . . you  don't  know  sonic  the  hedgehog.   {  it's  like  christmas  and  a  happy  birthday  wrapped  into  one.   lucah  looks  similar  to  the  cheshire  cat  as  he  pauses  the  video  of  the  hedgehogs,   giddy  like  a  little  kid  as  he  switches  to  google.  }   he's  like,  my  childhood  best  friend.  it  was  the  one  fucking  game  i  could  beat  everyone  in!
