Hey guys... I just wanted to update you on my current situation.. It pains me to say this, but this morning I got devastating news that one of my grandmothers and one of my uncles passed away..

She has been sick for a few months now, and her body just couldn't keep up with almost no sleep, minimal water, and minimal food, on top of being sick. Apparently, yesterday around 10pm, my grandmother was having an EKG test (that is between 5-10 mins long), and during the middle of it, the monitor slowly started to show her heart rate decreasing. They noticed her breathing slowed, so they did some chest compressions. They told us that after various attempts to try and help, they thought it would be best to just leave her be. To let her pass in peace, and not have to suffer anymore. She passed at 10:28 pm, lying peacefully still.

But that wasn't it though.. because apparently, my uncle (who is her son) took her passing harder than the rest of us (since he lived with her and my grandfather -- my grandfather is still alive though --). He (somehow) found an unoccupied room, the door slightly open, went in, closed the door... and he.... yeah... right then and right there... they said it probably happened around 11:15 (almost an hour since my grandmother passed).. based off of security camera footage..

They were really close to me, and I'm quietly crying as I am writing this. I don't post this as a means of worry, but as a reminder that I still care to write, just not in a moment like this. I want anyone reading my story to know that I am going to be taking a mourning hiatus (earliest I will be back is around my birthday in mid-April, but I probably wont be back until around the beginning of May). I hope you all understand :)

love you all sm, xoxo ~ E

**P.S: I will still be reading fanfics, to keep my mind off of things, so if you see a comment on someone's story, I just wanted you to know why.**

@livi_dwaekki Thank you so much for this. Most people (even my friends) don't seem to care why I haven't shown up to school for the past couple of days.
It does feel almost unreal, but since I've dealt with it more than most (I had 4 cats who all passed away in consecutive years (one of those years being Covid year), my great uncle, my grandfather (on my mom's side), etc) I am handling it better than I have in the past.

Love and strength from kind people like you keep me going every single day, and I'm so grateful. If I want to do anything that you mentioned, I won't hesitate to message you :)

Thank you sm.. this makes me feel a lot lighter <3

Hey E, I actually noticed your comments on my story and decided to check your page, and I saw this. I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss. Losing family like that, especially so close together, is such a heavy thing to carry.

I’ve experienced grief like that too (as you've seen in my story), and I know how overwhelming and unreal it can feel. Please be gentle with yourself and take all the time you need to mourn and heal. Your stories, readers and community will still be here whenever you’re ready to come back.

I just wanted you to know that if you ever need someone to vent to, talk to, or even just distract yourself with random conversation, my DMs are always open. You don’t have to go through something like this alone.

Sending you so much love and strength right now <3
