There are many misconceptions about Pierce The Veil. I hear lots of them from my parents, but to understand their music you have to really listen to their lyrics.

          	1.
Many people say that their music is just screams and stuff but it's not. Their music helps many people. Especially people who are going through depression, self harm, etc. I know this because I was one of them.

          	2.
Like what my parents say , "their music is a bad influence, you should listen to pop music". Um your telling me to listen to music that only sings about sex, drugs, alcohol, etc. Their music is not a bad influence, it's relatable. That's what so much people don't realize.

          	3.
People don't realize that their music has saved many lives. They saved people from killing themselves, they saved mines. People always say "their music is so hateful". So your telling me that "I kissed the scars on her skin, I still think your beautiful. And I don't ever wanna loose my best friend". Your telling me that's hateful?

          	4.
My parents said that their music was the reason i self harmed. It wasn't, I was going through a lot and the thing I felt like doing was harming my self . But they didn't believe it. If you wanna self harm because of music, then that's your decision.
(I found this online, and I think it's pretty brilliant)

@Beautifully-mixed hey! i totally agree. music has the ability to change us, our mood, everything. ive stopped listening to ptv, sws, mcr, anything dark, brooding and sad since quite a while now, and tbh, i feel like leaving the genre was one of the best things ive ever done. now, i can actually live life outside of my own head. ive learnt now that, hey, life isn't really so bad, youve got to just focus on the good things, be positive, it's not always easy but ti sure does pay off :) now, when i do listen, i listen to happy tunes, or sounds which remind me of life, because life is a beautiful thing. xo shanybawany

But when I'm here,
          I leave behind,
          What I don't need
'Cause everytime I walk these streets I know they're mine.

          It's just another day,
          Living here this way,
          Nothing ever troubles me,
And I say, "Lalalaa lalalaala, Lalalaa lalalaala la,
          Everything's ok."

Oh these roads they should talk,
Yeah, feels good just to walk,
          These streets of nowhere,
          These streets of nowhere.

          Grey clouds up above,
          But you still gotta love,
          These streets of nowhere,
          These streets of nowhere.
