Social awareness is important in todays society.  We always have to be aware of all the problems in our society in ways to support a solution for them or so as to prevent them from happening in the future.  
          
          Hence Sunshine Awards 2k18 is bringing out a new genre: "Social Awareness". If you have books that speak of the the socially relevant problems in our society then support this genre in my awards.
          
          Let's use this platform to create a better world :)

Hi! So I have a few things to mention today.
          
          (1) The Sunshine Awards Participant Stickers are out! Every participant has to put the sticker on their book cover if it has to be judged.
          
          (2) A new genre called "Social Awareness" has been added. I hope everyone will support this genre.
          
          (3) Genre that have been closed are:
                 -Romance
                - Fantasy
                -Fan Fiction
               - Poetry
              - Teen Fiction
          
          (4) Genre still in danger of being closed are:
                 -horror
                -Paranormal
                -Graphics
               -Historical Fiction
