I am excited to announce that Wattpad’s ChickLit account added Life With Nia to its Adulthood list! I can’t express how meaningful it is for the story to be acknowledged since it is so personal and close to my heart.
          
          I would have never written it if not for the ONC, so I’m glad I entered and went through to the third round. If nothing else, it showed me that I can hold myself accountable and write — and FINISH — a book in a timely manner.
          
          Congratulations to the ONC longlisters and shortlisters!

WOOOOOO! Wow, I can’t believe I sprinted the final chapter of Life With Nia. It’s up, and the story is officially finished and submitted for Round 3 of the ONC!!
          
          It hasn’t even hit me yet that I finished my first story on here. I wasn’t even planning to enter the ONC when I first learned about it because I was trying (and failing) to write The Prince of Jupiter. I’m glad I took a hiatus and decided to write about something that affects my daily life—my OCD. I think I needed the ONC to show me that I can write, I can plot, and I can finish a story. No matter how this turns out, I’m extremely grateful and blessed to have had this experience and made it this far in the contest.
          
          Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read and vote on LWN! Even if you only glanced and it wasn’t your cup of joe, thank you for giving it a try.
          
          Now, I’m off to relax and probably read all of the ONC entries on my reading list.

I'm excited to announce that Life With Nia made it past the first round of the ONC! And not only that - but it made it onto the 2020 Ambassador Picks list! Thank you to everyone who has read and left such insightful comments. I remember starting this story and thinking, "Who cares about OCD? Who's going to take OCD seriously?." This, coming from a person who suffers with OCD. It was heartwarming to see the reactions to my story, from other sufferers, people who know sufferers, and non-sufferers alike. Thank you all for giving this story a chance! No matter what happens moving forward, I know now that if there's a story worth telling, it's your own. Congratulations to everyone else who made it past round one, and I wish you nothing but the best moving forward!
