I hate when writers use real life celebrity names for characters like it totally takes away from the fictional character that is being portrayed because all I be picturing in my head is the actual real life person and not the fictional character 

Have you thought of making a DMX book with him as Kingpin and best friends are Nas, Jay z, methodan, and Mekhi Phifer. They are one who runs  New York City with no cops trying to stop them, but X meets this goddess amd want to get with her, but she doesn't pay her any mind. She has her own shop and store. Her best friends , Aaliyah, Brandy, and Paula Jai Parker. This is set in the 90s, but I wanted to tell you if you need a good idea.
          They go through a lot, but they love each other and help each other out.
