Hello, my name's Rachel Jean, or as some people call me, The kick-ass freak from Minnesota. AKA, R.J. I am a soldier in the US army, and have fought many battles in the Iraq war. As for my age: Pick a number between one and none of your damn business. I am currently living at Fort Bragg, the largest army base in the U.S. I, unlike many of my comrades, am not proud of ending the lives of so many people. I tried to commit suicide once, after being drafted to fight. I know many of you probably are thinking "Girls can't be drafted!" Well, they asked me if I wanted to join, and my neglectful parents practically forced me to go. Just thinking about all of those people makes me feel like a killer-- a merciless one.
I'm also not some stereotypical camo-obsessed, baggy pants, dreadlocks army girl. Yeah, I'm good with a gun, and have a nice six-pack going, but that doesn't mean I'm some steroid-addicted weirdo with bulging muscles. I have curly black hair, a pale complexion, black eyes, and too many battle scars to count; inside and out.
The best way for me to vent out all of my emotions is through writing and sketching. I love the thought of feeling like I'm creating something, and not just tearing things down. I am mostly doing this for me, but I hope you will enjoy these stories and poems.
