@shattering_hopes Hello, there, once again! I want to thank you for your vote on my newest dystopian YA science-fiction book Jinx (Jinx Book 1). I was very hesitant about putting a science-fiction book up there on my profile, but thanks to you, I've got all the motivation I need to keep going on my book right up to the end. I wanted to raise awareness for female students who are interested in the STEM field from an early age, and my female protagonist was named after a friend of mine from a previous group home who wanted to be in the STEM fields if her eyes were working so well from an early age. So, this is my way of dedicating my book to her, by naming my female protagonist of my newest YA science-fiction book after my group-home friend. And also, I had to consider what megacorporations would be like in a technological dystopian setting, so that made for a perfect setting, with a big, single, global-based megacorporation of technology swallowing up the other smaller corporations who have developed revolutionary technology that they are interested in and stealing the technology that doesn't belong to them from those same smaller companies for themselves, but for what purpose, no one has any idea. Think of it as like The Golden Compass meets The Famoux, if you will. I also wanted to raise awareness for female STEM-field students who wish to become techno-engineers in different fields, even though the STEM field is usually dominated by men, and it's time to change the way female STEM-field workers are thought of. One of my younger sisters is actually in the STEM field, and she's an engineer in her own way. I hope my book will revolutionize the way people look at scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and technology developers in the female gender. What do you think?
