Quick PSA: the "possessive" trope is NOT harmless fiction. Please stop writing it, and please stop reading it. It's normalizing abuse and we are not going to be here for it. If your SO gets mad because of who you are with and feels the need to control where you go, that is NOT love, and you need to get out or get help. You don't need to stay stuck, and there are so many people who actually love you who want to help <3

The good news is, Becoming Anne Again has been outlined so that from here and out, each chapter should be super purposeful and I don't have to deal with my own vague outlining when trying to rewrite. Plus the next chapter is already written, and since the upload date is over a week away, hopefully I will be able to get ahead. So good news.

I've been recently rereading some old books I used to read, and honestly, some parts are so cringe worthy that my eleven year old self didn't notice. Like in Anne of Ingleside, when Gilbert told Anne "Thank goodness you haven't gotten fat," I wanted to go off.

Note to self: other people's talents don't take away from your own. Just because a similar story has been told doesn't mean yours doesn't need to be told just as much. Everything is, essentially, the same--carbon, oxygen, hydrogen--hurt, anger, regret, love, joy--yet we accept that we are so fundamentally different and so individually important.

You are different, and your story is an outpouring of you. It's the reason why we can read hundreds of tales of orphans, of princesses, of spell books and spies, and yet we never grow tired. Because there is something different about each story--it's soul. Your soul. That is always worthwhile to read, and always important to write.
