My older daughter, Quincey is quite the writer and she posts much of her work on Wattpad. I haven't written in such a long time. She was reading me a piece last night and it was SO good that it made me want to write again. That is saying a lot, because to write is a really personal thing. I think at certain times in our lives, we avoid looking too deeply into ourselves for the obvious reason that it's just easier not to. Anyway, after I took the girls back to their dad's today, I decided to pull out an old journal. I thought since Quincey was the one who inspired me to dig it up, I should make my first post on Wattpad a poem I wrote about her. I chose a favorite that I wrote on April 4, 2002. She was only four years old and Jensen was right about 18 months. It seems like a lifetime has passed since then. Wow! She's 90 DAYS away from a driver's license! What an inspiration it is to be the mom of these two precious girls. I am excited about putting pen to paper. Thank you to my angels for making want to dig deep again!
