          not messy. but a mess.  [  the blonde specifies, unblinking eyes finally coming to look up at him. ]    as stereotypical barbie, it is quite literally my purpose to perpetuate a harmful and unobtainable stereotype that makes any woman not blonde or perfect feel bad about themselves. i am no role model. my purpose is indefinitely flawed, which makes me the same. there's no bouncing back from this.

          how can i still be  ' barbie '  when i'm a complete. and utter. mess.  [  slowly, barbie rolls over onto her back. the bland tone she speaks in is reflected in the emptiness of her facial expression as she stares upwards at nothing in particular. ]    they don't  ' like '  me. it's all fake. just like barbie.

[  barbie came up behind him, placing her hands on his shoulders and squealing quietly. through the mirror, she inspected him too. nodding enthusiastically, she was more than glad that he had swayed onto her side for this. humans did need more color in their closet. ]   oh  ..  so. many. more. yes  !

          [  was she about to cry  ?   barbie WAS still getting the hang of all that, but she definitely felt something similar to all the complicated mushy stuff that comes before the salty tears. all of it is washed away in an instant. she perks up like a lightbulb switched on and her frown lifts into an animated grin. ]   yes  !!   i knew you'd come around  !   they're gonna look GREAT on you.  :D
