I know. I've seen your comments and questions. Yes, I did retract the chapters that were posted last night.

Since the app's update in March 2026, l've noticed a decline in overall efficiency. The algorithm seems to have shifted, and there are also small bugs that have affected how releases perform.

With each chapter l've posted since the update, many of you either haven't been notified at all or received notifications hours later. On top of that, there appears to be a broader issue with how content is being circulated, which has made it harder for new chapters to reach readers the way they used to.

l've also been reflecting on engagement, and it feels like interest in the story may have slowed down. That's understandable. Some might've felt things got boring after Bird and Slim got engaged and Bird found out she was pregnant-maybe that would have been a natural place to close things out with an epilogue. It's something | considered, but ultimately chose not to pursue because it felt like this chapter of their lives was one many of you had been waiting for-especially after wanting to see them start a family for so long.

It's been nearly 2 years since I started Pretty Wings. I also took a hiatus from it to focus on finishing Miss America, and I can acknowledge that the break may have caused some readers to drift away. Some of you came for one story, some for the other, and some for both. At the same time, it feels like the fanfic era has shifted. There was a time when everyone was writing stories and actively engaged, and now that energy has changed. That evolution makes sense-and truthfully, it has always been a plan of mine to transitioning these stories into fully original works in the future.

That said, I wanna be clear—I’m gonna finish this book. I owe that to those of you who've enjoyed the book and have been here from the beginning. I'll be reposting the chapters tonight.

Thank you for your patience and support.

          	Much love,
          	Missy xx

Thank you for always communicating with us instead of leaving us hanging. I, and I’m sure many of us who are still here, appreciate the time, consistency, dedication , and creativity you put into these stories. I still like reading Pretty Wings and I’m interested in seeing how it all plays out for them. I think stories like Miss America just had me more entertained and constantly wanting more, which caused me to be more engaged. And with The Prototype, I really liked the different energy and vibe of the story— it was intriguing and I was definitely excited to see where it was going. Regardless, I genuinely love your writing and if you do decide to keep going, no matter if it’s Kamala stories or you switch it up and go a different route, I’ll definitely be here supporting! You are a gifted writer! :)
