[she’s been toying with the perfect pointy-end of her girlfriend’s perfect chin for the past minute now, busied and zoned out of all thoughts except for emi, emi, and emi.]     what’re you, saying no?     [obviously not. the way to the movies is long and bumpy, emi’s cheeks flushed a deep red with the car’s lights close and smooth.]

            [emi is focused on the road ahead of her, body leaned back on the driver’s seat with her legs parted like a boy. one hand is on the wheel while the other is parked up on the saltzman’s knee,] geez, baby. you have the most fitting timing, don’t you? [it’s pure sarcasm, her girlfriend’s sass has rubbed off of her. and yet, she complies. she moves her hand further up to her thigh, thumb soothing in a pattern into the flesh,] can you wait, princess?

            missed you too. hey, don’t focus on that, [her tears smudged her make up, clearing her pretty skin from the dark tints painted on it. she’s quick to keep kissing gigi, biting her even,] i gotta own up to it, [a murmur, hands around gigi,] i missed you, i always miss you. /i’m fucking obsessed with you/, you know. if i had it my way, the world would be all yours, and i’d let you rule everything and anyone. (i’m like my brother, i force mountains to move for you, i part the ocean just to get to you, i’m not complete without you. /my brother and my mother/ taught me this is normal, that this is what it means to love someone, i hope you’re not bothered by it).

[gigi, blonde and simple, nods into the kiss alongside an affirmative, vibrating hum. prematurely left naïve and not in care of much else apart from emi, emi, emi. house! that’s what they would play. and happily too.]     ‘course i do. i missed you. so much.. too. y’know?     [she tastes something salty in between the laps of kisses and tries to lean an inch backwards to check— just in case— if what she thought, deep deep deep down, would happen, had in fact been happening.]

            [emi, for some reason, feels like crying as she realises that she can’t exactly spit out that /she does in fact/ care for her brother. she knows he’s a terrible person: but he’s never been terrible to her. maybe that’s the terrible act he’s done, manipulated her through comfort. her body feels like collapsing in on itself, crawling to gigi and distracting herself from it by beginning to kiss her. praise her. mhm, yes, distract herself with obsession,] you’re /so right/ gigi, who cares? [she finds comfort in this, /playing house/ with the love of her life (because she did genuinely love her and only her),] you still wanna play? 

/oh nooooooo/—     [sing—song—ing, in tune so sweet it’d turn any stomach upset, as she happily retaliates to skin within any proximity to hers that belonged to emi with chapstick kisses.]     nooo, noo, ‘cause that’d be just—     [peck, peck. she stands on tiptoes, goes further in.]     oh, just awful, wouldn’t it? /noooo/, nooo, babe! please,     [trailing the rest of her face before gigi focuses on her lips, now reddened to the most pleasant shade of red she thought she’d ever seen.]     don’t stay over. do not close the window,   (mwah!)   and take us back in right now.   (mwah! mwah!)

            [the kisses make her heart stop and then beat again, the faintest giggle leaving her lips. gigi made emi light up from just being gentle, patient, /loving/. she’d be a stray dog without her, no leash on her collar to keep her from being her own demise.] stop, you’re gonna make me want to stay.

[the imperial fate of any girl, whose mind was even slightly adjusted to work forward, with a mother with ascribed tyrannical tendencies. gigi takes in the sight of emi, cold—blooded in nature and genetic design, shake not by the breeze escaping her white curtained windows but the very idea of mrs. saltzman. she leans forward to fix the hair strands the lestat’s missed in her hurry in manner slower than usual.]     i want to.     [a breath. it’s quiet for a moment except for the rhythm of both of their arrhythmic heartbeats.]     okay.     [short, sweet and muttered in a single breath before she’s leaning forward to seize emi lestat’s vulnerable face with a kiss on the cheek. another on the nose, the left cheekbone, the nose bridge, the jaw, the forehead and the lips. and the lips again. and then the lips some more.]     you’re so sweet. the sweetest. my knight in shining armor.

[notice how she threw everything else he had said about /her own girlfriend/ away?  emi is truly a puppy in this family.  she’d do anything for approval,  especially if it’s from her older brother.  he was always more fun than elena &,  well,  they shared the same dad which made them more… connected.] really?
