[ A low, quiet huff escaped his chest at her tease, the corner of his mouth twitching back up into that effortless, lopsided smirk. He took a single, deliberate step closer, hands still tucked comfortably into his pockets. There were no flashing golden eyes or sharp fangs on display just the calm, unnerving presence of a man who knew exactly how much space he occupied in her mind. He tilted his head slightly, his dark gaze holding hers with an intense, unyielding focus that made the distance between them feel paper-thin. ]

" 'Stalkerish fanged friend' ( ... ) now that's a new one, " [ he murmured, his voice dropping into a smooth, low rumble as his gaze flicked down to her lips before meeting her eyes again. A faint, knowing glint flashed in his expression, unbothered by her calling him crazy. ] " For the record, I don't need sharp teeth or a villain backstory to keep you right where you are you just admitted you want to stay. So, who's really crazy here ? " [ He leaned in just a fraction, the smugness softening into a quieter, more intimate intensity, his dark eyes searching hers. ] " I’ll take the slightly insane and unbelievably cocky part, though. Suits me "

@eadimidium ( … ) rough night ? [ the werewolf asked as her head cocked to the side almost inquisitively, instantly grabbing a martini glass from the shelf behind the bar. she gave a quick glance at the other woman, then reached for the shaker, already half‑filled with ice. nadia poured the clear spirit with a practiced tilt, the liquid whispering against the ice. the shaker snapped shut with a metallic click, and she began to shake — slow at first, then with a rhythm that matched the faint thrum of music in the bar. ] smells like trouble walked in… [ she added, head still cocked, hazel eyes fixed on her. ] and sat right at my bar.

He folds his arms loosely over the edge of the bar counter, watching her inhale the petals with a gaze that remains steady, warm, and entirely unbothered by her tease. ] " Fair point. Consider this my official, sworn declaration: I am neither. [ Jasper lets out a soft, breathless laugh, his shoulders shaking slightly as the sheer absurdity of the other's words washes over him. He remains rooted on his side of the bar, tapping his fingers rhythmically against the polished wood, his dark eyes glinting with a sharp, amused warmth. ] " A stalker and a serial killer ? Ouch. Come on, sweetheart, give me a little more credit. If I were actually trying to get rid of you, I wouldn't waste a beautiful bouquet on you first. especially one you seemed to like so much. " [ A slow, lazy smile spreads across his lips. He props his chin in his hand, keeping a comfortable, respectful distance across the counter while his gaze holds the other's with steady confidence. ] " Why do I want to know you ? It's simple. You spark my curiosity. And usually, when I get curious about someone... I don't stop until I figure them out. "

His smirk softens into a lazy, lopsided grin that reaches his eyes. ] " Arrogant ? I prefer the term self-aware, darling. And as for the smirking... The asylum had been condemned twenty-three years ago, though no one had bothered telling the building. The fluorescent lights still flickered with a sickly persistence, buzzing overhead like trapped insects while rusted pipes groaned somewhere deep inside the walls. Every corridor smelled of mildew, antiseptic, and something metallic that no amount of time had managed to erase. Patient charts littered the floor, their pages drifting lazily whenever a draft slipped through shattered windows.

Cordelia sat alone in the middle of the hallway, barefoot, her thin hospital gown hanging loosely from one shoulder. A dried leather restraint dangled absentmindedly from one wrist like forgotten jewelry. She wasn’t looking at the approaching footsteps.

She was looking at the empty chair beside them.

          A soft laugh escaped her.

“I told them you’d come.” Her smile widened, though it wasn’t directed at the newcomer. “They argued with me for hours…” She sighed dramatically before finally lifting her burgundy eyes to meet theirs. “…Now one of us gets to say ‘I told you so.’”

For a long moment she simply stared.

          Then she tilted her head.

          “…You’re real today… aren’t you?”

A soft, breathless chuckle slipped past his lips, a thoroughly amused, crinkle eyed grin splitting his face at her stubborn defense mechanism. He reached out, his long fingers wrapping around the rim of the glass to slide it across the polished bar, tilting his head slightly to lock eyes with her in a lazy, playful gaze. ] " Terrible customer service ? Wow. And here I thought getting personal attention from the owner himself was a luxury ." [ He took the glass from her hand and straightened himself up from the wood of the bar, a fluid, effortless movement as he let out another quiet laugh, shaking his head. Turning just enough to grab a fresh glass, ice clinked softly against the crystal as he poured the gin with practiced grace. Tapping the tonic bottle against the counter with a quiet thud, he leaned back in, resting one elbow on the bar as he slid the freshly mixed gin and tonic right back into her space. ] " Growl all you like, sweetheart.
