Is it normal for one shot stories to have 4000+ words

Can I just leave our research then write here?

I had a lot of ideas on how I'll make the plot interesting but laziness won't let me do it.

Planning to finish my one shot story and at the same time thinking of finishing my first story... Dang

Too many drafts and still not progressing lol
