Okay since i'm still waiting for the translation correction from my friend Let me share you my tips and resources for doing chinese novel MTL or machine translation
First if you want to MTL you can not just drop the whole page on a google translator, even if thats the fastest way it wont be accurate. First you must divide it paragraph to paraghraph if it is still not working than sentence by sentences
Second use several resources (translator web) for translation
For me my favourite web beside google translator are;
https://fanyi.baidu.com →beside regular machine translation function like google this also provide each word or sentences translation explanation below the translation box, they also have app you can install on your phone
https://zhdict.net/ →this translation tool will divide the sentences word by word and provide the correct translation as well as some idioms
(There are some other web you can also use like xyzdict, bing, etc you can also use but the 3 above is the one i use more frequently)
Some time there are some words / sentences you still dont understand because its more complicated (idioms, part of poems or net linggo) there will be some explanation only in chinese that i would get search to baike.baidu.com (like wikipedia but for china) or zhidao.baidu.com (like ask.com for china), regular wikipedia/wiktionary
or just google the chinese character /sentences sometime it will pop out from somewhere , for example a glossary note of a previously translated novel (thanks to the translator who kindly provide some of this notes)
Lastly learn the basic character that frequently appear for example;
我, 你,是,什么、要,的,想 etc
and how its usually used , that way you dont just translate it automaticly but can learn the language
Thats all hope it will be usefull and have fun trying, if anyone have other tips do kindly share
