@sirvoldysnoseholes im gonna sound so weird but im excited to get where i dont feel uncomfortable when delilah and aoife interact because leading up to the pregnancy is causing a lot of anger especially when joey just kissed our girl however when everything resolves and the co parenting is decided itll be happy wonderland and delilah can finally become a pro baby linguist and shell probably kidnap aj and take him to maccies all the time

im re reading bot and i cant remember what i imagined them to look like before the tv show cast was announced which is the main reason i don’t like book to show adaptations. There isn’t a reason to hate on the actors/actresses that are portraying them just because their looks don’t fit what you imagined because everyone imagines characters differently. Disappointment from cast announcements happens every time a book is adapted because it distorts the emotional attachment you have but one person cannot represent every individual readers imagination. Looks aren’t everything i’m sure if the show is that bad it will be cancelled but for now just be kind.

her race is no concern for how her acting skills are if they decided to choose certain actors that don’t fit the book description you can be certain they will act the hell out of these roles. Honestly im still going to read the books and imagine her the way i envision her but when the shows on that is lizzie at the end of the day and people need to learn to accept that because she wasn’t picked for diversity she was picked because she is the best fit for lizzie.

istg ppl showed their true colors today. The fact that the whole fandom came at me for defending lizzie and then say “but what if a black character was casted by a white actor” this is literally not the same bcs poc have lived their lifes with so much racism and every single poc character in books shows that. Lizzie’s trauma isn’t connected to her race though.
