one of the most frustrating things about being a writer is people expecting your characters to serve as their own self-inserts. like i love an interactive interface + reading experience & how content is free to be interpreted when it has been made available to the public but sometimes people are so unnecessarily aggressive and critical of the way you write your own characters like maybe go read an x reader? or like.. be patient. i know you guys want everything spelled out for you but sometimes writers have their own intentions and agenda within their story that do not have to respond to your frustrations and expectations god bless! and have some shame. especially if you’re able to read someone’s writing for free. we need to find some balance between letting people have fun and also being respectful to each other.

growing up is realising neither teresa nor brenda were terrible / conniving / bad people. james dashner clearly hated women and a lot of other male authors who write novels likely put women in antagonistic roles as a reflection of their own failures in their relationships / misogynistic grudges just to torture their female characters for catharsis. sorry you had to find out this way, so put that secondhand misogynistic perspective down and make the women kiss each other instead of fighting over a loser boy ❤️ honestly i don’t understand people who can’t experience anything without having a man involved somehow it sounds like a nightmare.
