" he patted off some hairs and dusr from the day's events. honestly trying his best to ignore the bruises he already felt from being thrown around today. he'd be attention and wait for any news on the creature. there was no point going down the maze of an underground system in hopes of finding it. " it would probably be best not to stuck around here. at night especially. it can get dicey with the monster out huntin'. " 

“ oh my sweetheart.”  she whispered, hands reaching to take the feline with care and adoration. she smoothed her fur and pressed a kiss to the side of her head. “ she’s dusty but she seems alright. i’m so relieved. “ edden hadn’t even stepped in to get her coffee simply because she was so nervous about the well-being of her fur friend. keeping patch in her arm she turned fully to the spider with a warm smile. “ i can’t thank you enough. i know that you’d probably rather spend your night actually saving people, not cats. i appreciate your help nonetheless. i don’t know what i’d do without her and her sister. “

he'd give her a good while to get away before starting his search. mostly for the people now. making sure everyone gets out or at least is attended to as soon as possible. honestly, for once, he was grateful to see the boys in blue show up to help out. once most people were clear and being tended to, he could start making sure the four-legged friend was alright. having to look a few buildings down the way, as it most likely ran for the hills at the loud noise of a building toppling. fortunately, he knew good hiding places for cats, having fed a few strays in the area. it took about as long as helping the civilians, but finally came across the little cat. some coaxing with food did the trick. choosing to walk the way back to the shop, not wanting to freak the little creature out by swinging. " ah, sorry doll. didn't mean to make ye wait this long. but the little one is safe and back where they aught to be. " the spider held out the cat, careful of it digging claws into his coat.
