@captainakram5 I'm not professional myself but I'll try my best to give you brief explanation between Shounen, Shoujo, Seinen, Josei.
Shonen, Seinen, Shojo, and Josei are manga/anime demographic categories based on target age and gender, not genres:
Shonen (boys, ~12-18, action/adventure)
Shonen's more straightforward, action-oriented plots. The most popular example are like Naturo, Dragonball, Bleach, One Piece, ect.
Seinen (adult men, ~18+, mature themes)
They are focus for adult men. Seinen's more complex, mature themes, darker tones, and realistic depictions, though content can overlap significantly. Some are more gore or explicit than shonen. The most popular example are like berserker, vinland saga, Vagabond, etc.
Shojo (girls, ~12-18, romance/relationships)
Shojo idealized romance, high school life, and coming-of-age stories. The most popular example are like Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Wedding Peach, and most of Magical girl theme anime ( NOT MADOKA )
Josei (adult women, ~18+, realistic life/romance).
Where Josei with more realistic portrayals of love, work, and mature life issues. They have Realistic romance (often steamy or complex), workplace drama, family issues, adult struggles, mature life decisions, "womanhood". The most popular examples are like Honey and clover, Usagi Drop, Nodame Cantabile, Chihayafuru, etc.
The main difference lies in the intended audience's life stage, leading to distinct themes, art styles (like shojo's sparkles), and story complexities, though genres often overlap (e.g., action shojo).
