I'm currently plotting and the idea I started out with was an 'all fluff no drama' best friends-to-lovers book and now an hour later I've somehow inserted the most heart-wrenching angst and chaotic drama into it. I'm not even kidding when I say I need to put my mind on a leash :')
The way it kinda stabs my heart after I think of a storyline and happily start writing chapters only to later discover a published book with the exact same storyline and, pushing the knife deeper, it is written out way better than I could even imagine. Sigh.
