Is it just me or is Wattpad getting so dead. All non original and crappy writing. All my favorite authors are not updating. Life is getting ahead of us. Might deactivate this account to be honest. This app is not fun anymore.

Just putting a thought out there: I have read a variety of stories on here and interacted with numerous authors. Ever since the introduction of ChatGPT into fanfic writing, it has become easy to find works that use AI. Authors don't use the same level of eloquence and clarity when communicating with commenters ( just basic stuff like punctuation, sentence structure, and grammar), but then will write in the most perfect English in their stories. It is a tough pill to swallow for people who write drafts over drafts for someone to just swoop in with a story outline, have AI write it for them, and claim that it is their work. It is not. Be honest. Say AI was used. We love to read new premises and stories, but I am tired of reading the same kind of dialogue in each book - a clear giveaway of AI usage. All I ask as a reader and fellow author is that you be honest and then use AI. Have a great day, guys, and keep reading great books!!

Hi, my favorite bunch of crazies! I have a quick question: What are some underrated tropes and pairings about which you want to read more fics, but cannot find anything or very few books? I might—heavy emphasis on might—return to writing.

Kaise ho!! I am dealing w a huge writer's block for boundary. I did have an outline in mind but the more I write the less I like how the story progresses.
