later on after getting a high rank in the military police, he joins the scout regiment ( start of season two ) to keep a closer eye on reiner and bertholdt after losing annie.

he's usually seen around the edges of walls, back slouched and hand in pocket. he's always watching the warrior candidates closely, that it's a bit creepy to those around the area.

his personality is questionable. he acts smug at times, but he's mostly quiet, and very hard to read. his tone of voice isn't easy to figure out either, for it always sounds like he's tired.
