Chapter 1 of Chimera currently has 1,000 words, which in my opinion is way too little, should I add more or just keep it?

i might get back into posting stories that are actually worth reading. its summer and i have nothing better to do. what genre should i write? ive been interested in themes including murder and all that jazz. ugh i havent been on wattpad in years... :) sorry
