First of all, I want to say a massive thank you for sticking with me as we navigate the beautiful, high-stakes disaster that is Clara Reed and Julian Vane.
          ​As many of you know, we are officially in the thick of the Open Novella Contest (ONC)! This competition is a huge milestone for this story, and I’ll be honest—I want that trophy just as badly as Clara wants to beat Julian for the Academic Excellence Prize.
          ​Because I want this story to be the absolute best version of itself, I’ve been deep in the "Editing Trenches" every single day. I’m constantly refining the chapters, sharpening the banter, and making sure the tension is high enough to meet the ONC standards.
          ​I want to sincerely apologize if the frequent updates or minor changes have been a bit confusing. Like Julian Vane, I’m striving for perfection; but like Clara Reed, the process is a little chaotic. If you see a paragraph shift or a bit of dialogue get a "glow-up," just know it’s all part of the strategy to help us win this thing.
          ​Thank you for your patience, your comments, and for "shipping" these two rivals as much as I do. We have a long ten months (or at least a very long novella) ahead of us, and I’m so glad you’re in my corner.
