hey, it's been a while:)
i'll start off by apologizing. i promised to have the rewrite of A Chant Away done and published in 2022, and, well. it's October of 2023 and there is obviously nothing that has been done.
i am sincerely sorry for making a promise that i didn't keep.
i could go on and on with the reasons and perhaps excuses, but that doesn't really matter.
to be frank, i lost my love of writing for a while. author's block, every writer's enemy.
i did actually rewrite a few chapters, but didn't want to publish until i was done with the completed book. then, as i re-read the chapters of the currently-published ACA, for lack of better words, i found it hard to go on because it's so cringey (lol).
when i began to write that cheesy fanfic when i was younger, i had so many dreams with it. i wanted to wow the y/n-reading side of wattpad, i wanted to stand out, i wanted to complete it and not leave it randomly abandoned like so many good fanfictions on this app.
well, i was immature to think that writing a consistent plot that aligned with the storyline of the anime the fanfic was based off would be so easy.
i'm sorry for having you wait, if you were indeed actively waiting(which i hope not, i feel terrible for how long it's been.) honestly, this has always been in the back of my mind, weighing my conscience haha. there's a fanfic that i wrote that i still get notified on that has yet to be finished.
i won't make any promises. but i will try my best to re-read thru this old hagly book and re-create it into something that both you and i can tolerate.
