why's ben platt playing evan hansen in the movie? don't get me wrong he's a great actor, and i understand that broadway is very different from movie and tv show casting. but like, dude is 27. we've been talking about teenagers being played in media by actors who are around the teenager's age for years? why is this still happening? i'm absolutely positive there were PLENTY of qualified teenagers to play evan hansen in the movie.
