I am an old new writer who has many stories in me.  I like to write children's and Sci-Fi stories.  I know rather different genres you say.  I like the idea of WattPad where other writers & readers let you know if your stuff has any merit and one minute you are flying high and the next you just go down in flames.  I intend to publish every Sunday so here goes...
