❝Everyone dances to their own boom boom.❞

               Skins first episode aired on the 25th January 2007 and the final episode 5th August 2013. Within those six years, we were presented seven seasons, three generations and twenty-six troubled delinquents with stories that needed to be told. Stories which have touched our hearts in ways we couldn't have even fathomed, stories which we could relate to and could understand, stories which we found ourselves balled up in a corner bawling about, stories which opened out eyes to reality because they didn't always necessarily have happy endings and stories which were told through characters performed by an terrifyingly talented cast, some of which actors and actresses have moved onto greater things and achieved great success. Since the show has been introduced to television, being the first series to be on channel E4, it's been nominated for thirty awards and in total has won seven. 

            Everybody watched the show, whether they be a hardcore fan or anti-skins, has in some way been affected by the heavy issues dealt with. Whether people were screaming at their television in rage at that season four finale or crying their heart out at effy stonems plight, they felt something. This is because skins is more than 'just' a show, it's real life and real life has never been more magical than when depicted through those sixty- one episodes. Skins helped people through rough patches and gave them hope that maybe there was light at the end of the tunnel. This account was made mainly to appreciate the televison series by analysing iconic moments, etc. However, underrated fanfictions and authors who are apart of the skins fandom will also be promoted and gain the recognition they deserve.
