Hi everyone. My name is Sky. I'm 15, I have a bone marrow failure disorder called Fanconi Anemia, I'm a leukemia survivor, and I'm an aspiring author. I've been writing for as long as I can remember. For a long time I felt like no one really understood what I was going through. Sure there were books like The Fault in Our Stars, but that revolves around the romance more than the actual struggle of having cancer. Don't get me wrong, I love TFIOS, but I felt like people going through that horrible situation need a little more support. So I wrote Lend Me a Smile, a book about a teenage girl with my condition, and what it was like to go through chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant. I've recently finished writing the book and would like to publish it. Unfortunately, the self publishing package I need is very expensive and my family can't afford it. I have started a Kickstarter fundraiser to help me raise the money I need to edit, publish, and distribute my book. I would strongly appreciate it if you would donate to and share my fundraiser.
