Hey y’all. I don’t know how many folks actively follow me on here anymore, but I wanted to make sure I posted this announcement.
Sometime in the next couple of days, I’m going to be un-publishing many of my stories on here. More specifically, most of the fanfics.
I wrote all of my work on Wattpad when I was very young and was desperate for a way to express my feelings through writing. I think I was about twelve when I published most of my work here.
I’m seventeen now, and going on to study creative writing in college. Over the years, I’ve become less comfortable with the type of content I’ve posted here — stories about real people and their real lives. I don’t hold anything against my younger self for writing these things (I think it was a necessary step for me as a writer), but I know if I were in the public eye, this kind of content would make me extremely uncomfortable to see online.
I value the fanfiction community immensely for allowing me this platform to grow as a writer. I truly apologize to anyone who might miss reading my work, and I thank everyone who has supported my writing over the years. It means so much to me. I’ll be leaving up my more “fictional” fanfiction, but unfortunately my longer works won’t be available to y’all anymore.
I still post on AO3 (The Legend of Korra, some StarKid) under the name “itsallonfire” if anyone feels like keeping up with fanfic work of mine.
