calloused palms were gradually leaned down against the cool surface of the beloved detective's desk as the swede had showed up rather uninvited , as most of his visits always were . he always preferred being so unexpected , after all . today had been the one day of the week the lawyer himself had gotten off , all to himself , and what better way to spend it than to rekindle with a dear friend ? while she leaned back in her leather seat , tossing her fine pen back beside the desk , his head had teasingly tilted off to one side , a cheeky smile slowly building up over her positive response . as mentioned lunch , something that was definitely a safe bet before drinking themselves silly , he playfully narrowed his bright green eyes in some thought , even adding a little hum before ultimately giving in with a little shrug of his broad shoulders . “ only because you admit i'm your favorite of friends , and because friends don't let other friend's drink on an empty stomach . i think i read that in a handbook somewhere , ” the man's smooth voice had been littered with playful intent , slowly pushing himself back from the desk to stand back up tall , “ are you free now ? or do i have to sit around and wait a while ? if that's the case , i hope you guys have coloring books here or something . ”
