heyy, first of all I just wanted to say that I loved your story. I was rereading it for the second time and I noticed that you removed the last chapter after the epilogue, and please bring it back, it was really nice

saw a reddit post today that said “I know there's more than this out there but it really is incredible that people will look at a fictional character someone else wrote and collectively say "I will write you a hundred happy endings."

that is so very much me ㅤ♡

i don’t think i’ve ever read a book like flightless bird and i’m so sad i finished it :( since the very first chapter, i was intrigued because the writing was just so amazing and i could tell a lot of thought was poured into each and every word. and i want to say that you did such an amazing job writing both stanley and maeve’s thoughts. from the little passing ones, to the deep ones. especially stanley’s. i believe the way you wrote him was as spot on as it could be, considering there’s actually not a lot we know about him in the book compared to the other losers. but their dynamic was so interesting to read and watching their relationship develop the way that it did, watching them start to let each other in and start meaning something to each other was beautiful! i already miss them both, but hopefully i’ll be able to see them again in the future :) i would love to see how their lives would look as adults, that’d be so interesting. thank you for your amazing work!

This message genuinely means so much to me, thank you! I really did put a lot of thought and research into Stanley lol. Especially into the details of how he thinks and of his ocd because like you said, there’s so much of him that’s left unsaid in the book and movies, and I really wanted to honor that and develop his character further. And oh!! I miss them too, honestly, and the idea of seeing who they become later in life is something I do think about often. Actually, I’ve been deciding whether or not anyone would be interested in a part two.

But thank you so much for reading, leaving cute little comments for me to grin at everyday and for such a kind, thoughtful message! xoxo
