Sherrill Nilson is a diligent dilettante with many interests and experiences. She raised children, race horses, cows, ducks, and peacocks on a farm in Eastern Oklahoma at the edge of the Ozarks, then went back to school for her PhD. She now devotes herself to the fun and agony of writing full time.
She used to raise horses, now she writes about flying horses. Karda is her first novel. The second volume in the Adalta series is Hunter, and the third, Falling, is not far behind.
Her flight path took her all over the Southwest until she finally landed back in Tulsa where she started.
She has no cat nor dog nor fish, but she does have an old Volvo convertible. She loves to ride around with wind in her hair It's how she gets her vitamin D.
She's the oldest of seven kids (don't ask to drive.) two others of whom are writers.
