As many of you may know, I've voiced my opinion on various "political" topics, but one thing that NO ONE is allowed to have a say in (except the person getting it) is abortion and women's rights. No lawmaker, congressperson, or whatever other person can say what a woman should do with her body and reproductive rights. I may only have a small platform but it doesn't mean that I will be quiet on this topic. Women will be charged with murder for their bodies having miscarriages or stillborns. These scenarios cannot be controlled by a woman and often aren't known until it happens. As someone who is going into the medical field and already knows she will a lot of death related to back-alley abortions and septic shock from infections because of a pregnancy that is killing them, I am sad and disgusted to say that it will be worse than anyone can imagine. Women in abusive relationships have gotten beat to death or near-death by their abusers because they are carrying a child. Children and teens who are raped will be forced to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term, a pregnancy that will can kill them because their bodies aren't ready for the trauma of childbirth. Women can't even get their fucking tubes tied or hysterectomies without having a husband and children and even then, they need a man's consent. Roe v Wade getting taken away shows that men in power only want to control women because they see us as objects and less than them.
Sorry for the rant but seeing men's comments and the comments of the conservative congresspeople that voted to ban abortion has gotten me so mad. So many women will die because of their insensitivity and lack of knowledge.
