why is it that when a book is on my library untouched the author keeps on updating and when i finally decided to read it, suddenly they go on a hiatus??? like what?? or maybe not a hiatus but they would update like once a week before slowly transitioning into once a month and then into whenever they want to.

i used to hate au fanfics along with chatfics but recently i find myself being bored of reading ff that follows the original storyline. i tried reading a modern au one and now i cant be satisfied with a ff unless it has its own plot and doesnt follow the original storyline
