Ryan sat at the bar, sipping on a drink after a long day, feeling exhausted and ready to call it a night, but not before getting a buzz going. He downed his first shot quickly, then let out a heavy sigh. "I need another," he said to the bartender, holding out his empty shot glass. “How is your day going?” He finally asks to ease up the awkwardness.

@autophage He nodded. Some intoxicated customers could be annoying and hard to handle, to say the least. A tiny, slightly bitter laugh left Lannaril's scarred mouth. "Yep. People can be difficult sometimes." His expression then warmed up again, "But I do enjoy working here. My dad owns this tavern, actually. So, I have a room and stuff." And then Lannaril decided to continue mentioning facts without considering that he might be oversharing, "We have a little house in the town, too. There's always people here, though. Just in case anyone decides to try somethin' stupid."

[@cunningaction] He watched as the woman ordered, clearly a few beers in. Getting drunk wasn't Ryan's thing, but it was interesting to see how others let loose. Some people got stupid, while others handled their liquor with ease. "I don't think I could do that... I mean, I've dealt with drunk people at work and it's always annoying," he said with a sigh. "But you seem to enjoy it here. Do you have a room here or something? Some taverns have living quarters, right?“

@autophage "Yeah, I will." Lannaril said dismissively with a mild wave of his hand. "Once I get my break. I've been working here for just under three years." And before he can add anything else, a woman with braided hair sauntered up to the bar and asked for another round. Lannaril obliged and placed the orders in front of her on a tray. The woman threw some gold pieces onto the counter before grabbing the tray of beers. Once she had walked back to her table, Lannaril turned back to Ryan and answered quietly, "I'm used to it. I've been brought up around them. This tavern is like a second home to me."
