Literature has no bounds... it is as free as the wind... as mighty as the sky... as deep as the oceans... as_ as whatever you could ever think of. Everyone has a poet or an author inside... some prefer to silence them (i.e. poets and authors inside) while some set them free to explore and express themselves, creating masterpieces. 
Dear readers, to set the poet/author inside you free, all you require is an ordinary pen, an ordinary paper, and an extraordinary imagination. Start writing because words written are valued much more than words spoken. 
It doesn't matter what you write in your very first poem... It can be as simple as 'The cat sat on the mat' or as beautiful as 'The sky was calm... the moon shone bright'. 
You can never know the potential, the poet/author inside you holds... until you write.
