128 years have passed since the Philippines fought for and declared its independence. Yet many Filipinos continue to suffer today. Why? Because corruption, poor governance, and self-serving politicians continue to hold our nation back.
It is heartbreaking to see leaders enrich themselves while countless Filipinos struggle to make ends meet. What's even more disappointing is seeing people continue to support and idolize politicians who have repeatedly failed the country.
Wake up, people. Let us be more aware, more critical, and more responsible with the choices we make. Do not be blinded by money, popularity, political dynasties, or empty promises. Demand accountability. Stand for truth, justice, and good governance.
This message is not meant to spread hate—it is a call for awareness. Our country deserves leaders who are competent, honest, and genuinely committed to serving the Filipino people.
As we celebrate our freedom today, let us remember that true independence is not only about our past—it is also about building a better future for the next generation.
Happy 128th Independence Day, Philippines.
