i wanna work more on 'the weight of the sky' bc the ideas i have for it are >>> buuut i dont rlly like writing for the marauders era (ik ik gasp), like the only reason i made it set during then was to spotlight the black sisters bc they're so underutilized in fics, but tbh idt i have the motivation to continue on with the fic as much as i want to simply bc of the era :( like atm i def dont, idk abt the future but i dont rlly have high hopes
          
          so i was thinking, bc i adore the overall idea & the little plot points i'd thought up, i could try to turn it into an og story?? it could be set in a boarding school, and (for the quotevians who know abt 'the weight of the sky', ygs will know what im talking abt here) atlas (idk if i'll keep his name or change it) could be a reputed student who was a 'rich golden boy' from a prestigious family, so no one could fathom why he did what he did, and, similar to the fic, it alternates between occasional present-time w/his sister uncovering the truths he'd been hiding, and the past from atlas's pov leading up to the Incident. literally everything that is og will remain the same (which is basically everything except for the lack of the wizarding world, but ngl removing that from the story wont change a thing anyway, hence why im considering the og story route)

          (also im not used to the lack of EMOJIS and the fact that i cant USE THEM smh my posts feel so emptyyyy without them, sigh)

dynamic: storm chaser character a (the worse the storm, the happier they are) with mayhaps some tragic backstory that results in either them turning away from storm chasing or becoming too reckless when it comes to storms--until they're reluctantly dragged into a group expedition x character b who secretly holds some sort of air-related magic or is an air deity (particularly wind and/or storms) so they literally specialize in this stuff & is part of the group character a joins
          
          they have this verbal sparring thing going on that walks the line between banter and flirting, yet both are oblivious that the other likes them, their friends literally place bets behind their backs bc of it. they're drawn to each other, smitten energy (either one shows it more than the other or both do), and when they get together, ppl joke that its both bc character a chases storms and character b is the storm luring them in despite reasonings, and bc character b has always been intrigued by character a from the start, (starting with their instincts when it comes to weather which eventually turns into an interest in their whole persona). 
          
          combine all that and the two often fall into each other's orbit. after a point of time, they realize they make a colossal team, and actively seek each other out bc no one else seems to properly Get them except for each other and they just cant figure out why-

me: rewatching teen wolf so i can plot out high road (teen wolf/pjo crossover) some more!!
          my brain: ....omg hear me out. you know what would be cool? a 13rw/teen wolf crossover!
          me: what? how? they’re both too different. there's literally nothing connecting them
          my brain: when has that ever stopped you? also they’re both set in cali, its like why there are so many avengers/pjo crossovers bc both are set in ny
          me: okay, first of all, touche. second of all, there are more connecting factors to avengers and pjo than just that—
          my brain: listen tf up. there are blank spaces in specific characters’ backstories and the timelines for 13rw & teen wolf. we love that shit, you know that. you love messing around with those gaps and creating plots out of it. hell if you wanna you could even mess around from a different angle and make a pjo/13rw crossover and you know it
          me: i feel quite threatened, but…go on
          my brain: okay so abt the pjo/13rw—
          me: no, the other one, jeez! i still cant imagine how to combine the two btw
          my brain: coward. imagine this *throws me a paragraph-worthy mental-ramble that's too long to fit the word count here. also it's only halfway coherent rn lmao*

this whole drafts-combining thing ive got going on is so fun--and so satisfying!
          why am i randomly talking abt this? bc ive had a teen wolf/pjo crossover in my drafts for a while and i was walking back to my dorm when i came up with a way to combine it with some of my other teen wolf and pjo drafts, and voila! still planning things out more but so far it looks funnn fhjkdhf i get so thrilled when everything starts clicking together ahaha (also this gives me an excuse to rewatch teen wolf for the third time lmao)
