I was just rereading INBGEFY again for the... I honestly don't know how many times I've read that story haha (It's my favorite fic on the internet, so I like looking back to find details I might have missed), and I noticed something, or rather, took special note of something I've noticed a few times before.
I don't know if this was intentional or not, but Lucia's aversion to being touched sounds a lot like a trauma response to some kind of physical trauma that Lucia suffered earlier in life, or a high-functioning neurodivergency, and I was wondering if that was something that might be brought up later in the story. If it is, I obviously won't ask for details; gotta keep the twists as twists, but I've been wondering if I've been going insane this whole time or if there really is more to that plotline than meets the eye. I just figured I'd ask since there's been a lot of emphasis on that part in Lucia's story throughout, and I'm curious. (Also, sorry for not adding the accent to Lucia's name. I'm on a keyboard and genuinely couldn't for the life of me figure out how to add it in).
I hope that this didn't come off as annoying or anything. I'm not the best at writing comments like this, and I don't want to come off as demanding or anything. I just really like the fic, and I wanted to know if one of my theories was headed in the right direction, but if I overstepped or came off as demanding or annoying, then I'm sincerely sorry. Also, thanks for writing the fic in the first place. As I said, it's my favorite fic out there and the one that really got me into this as a reading space, so thanks for all of that. @LordOvskiliath Hey! First off, I want to apologize for not getting to this message sooner! My Wattpad notifications come and go, so a consistent notification from the message board is usually a never. Secondly, I want to thank you for your comment! I really do love it when I get to see people's reactions to my stories, whether it be suggestions, comments, concerns, or thoughts (and I love responding to them even more!). Asking your question at hand - if you want me to be completely honest - I took Lucía's response to touch as a basic human attribute. I won't say it came from absolutely nothing, but I think we have all gone through life in many different ways that certain things become habit and natural to us. Having someone have an attribute like that was something I have always wanted to highlight, since it is a perfectly normal thing to feel and there is no need for someone to be ashamed of it. As more and more of the story is unfolding, I am glad to have finally been able to explain human characteristics in these fictional characters, but also share a bit more of Lucía's headspace into that particular attribute. This comment made me think, and, honestly, I am unsure of how deep it will be explored further - the idea of it being a normal human behavior or something deeper are both very interesting topics. Once again, I thank you for your comment and I do apologize for not getting to it sooner! I am happy you are enjoying the story and I hope you continue to enjoy it as much as I do writing it. Keep writing!
