@alexandra_americana YES, I completely agree!! Seeing how every season they utilize el in such a big way and in this season it feels like they just put her in a box, and seeing her and hopper have the argument that they've has since season 2 is tiring, why not just give them new plots!! Eleven has so much potential to be more and do more, but it feels like a lot of the time she was just treated like a love interest and now that they aren't really moving forward with mileven they don't know what to do with her. UGH AND YES THE ELMAX REUNION WAS SO DISAPPOINTING, like wdym they didn't have an emotional reunion after everything, i feel like they understood eachother in a way that nobody else did and its so sad to see them throw that away. The duffers just keep completely missing with their characters *cough* mike *cough* and it's so disappointing to see. I feel like vol.1 had SO much potential, for example Robin's speech was so beautiful and made others feel so seen but then going to vol.2 and seeing how they did wills coming out scene was just disappointing. It could've been so empowering but instead
they forcefully made him come out, other than his coming out scene i think theyve been doing wills character a lot of justice and it was so cool seeing him grow throughout the show. I started watching and loving this show since I was 7 and the characters are what really makes this show, it's really sad to see the choices the duffers have made but I really want to have hope that they'll be able to turn it around in the last episode!! Especially since they've been doing good for some characters like Holly and Dustin, their plots feel really well written i just hope others get the writing they deserve as well

@snoopylover7 okay, so it’s not even the plot line exactly that irritates me or feels wrong this season, i think if the writing was a little better like the first four seasons and the characters weren’t horrible mischaracterized this would be just as an amazing season as the first four. i don’t understand the characters arcs or their reasoning for things because they’re so different this season, it’s like they’re all written by someone else. nancy and jonathan breaking up for supposedly no reason and then being all lovey dovey for the rest of the scene because they clearly didn’t want to break up. mind you, i didn’t even know it was a break up scene either. and our main character eleven, one of my absolute favorites being sidelined the entire show???? she had such amazing acting last season and such a big role and arc i assumed she would begin where she left off but they’ve barely paid attention to her. and i never really cared for mileven or byler but now that they’ve both basically been shut down, mike’s reason and choices in the earlier seasons with will make no sense. and the queer scenes don’t feel empowering they almost feel mocking considering will’s queerness is such a huge part of his character and i think they gutted that part of him. i’m not sure what the duffer brothers are doing. but i cried so hard for the lumax reunion and i think holly’s plot line is so fun and new and dustin and steve made me so sad and will’s newness is so nice but i wish we weren’t ignoring eleven for it. AND WHAT WAS THAT ELMAX REUNION!!??? its just sad to me honestly because season four felt more like an ending season than this season and i have been waiting since 2022 and a fan since 2016 and grew up with these characters and it feels like they’re butchering them but i still love the season even though it’s so different
