I love the book so far and here are some suggestions I hope will help you out :
          
          - make her fall in love with him
          - make him start to open up to her and eventually fall for her
          - add some drama and action : kidnapping her
          - she. Everything settles down and they thing they're gonna be ok she becomes sick and eventually dies
