Hey everyone,

I've just published my latest book on KDP, and it's now available in paperback, hardcover, Kindle, and Kindle Unlimited editions.

If any of the tropes below sound like your kind of story, I'd be delighted if you gave it a chance and shared your thoughts after reading.

          	Tropes: • Reincarnation & past-lives romance
          	• Star-crossed lovers across time
          	• Mythological fantasy / romantasy
          	• Mythology meets modernity
          	• Grumpy × sunshine
          	• Practical vs. mystical dynamics
          	• The ultimate slow burn

          	Amazon link:
          	https://www.amazon.com/Lakshmilla-Prem-Vrittanta-Nayana-Dudani-ebook/dp/B0H2MF6268

I'd also love to hear your thoughts on the cover. Did it catch your eye? Would you pick it up based on the cover alone, or is there anything you think could be improved?

Whether it's a rating, a review, or simply your impressions after reading, I'd genuinely appreciate the feedback.

Thank you for your time and support.

          	Yours truly,
          	Nayana R. Dudani

Since I'm quite fond of KDP, I've published my fourth book, Lakshmilla: A Prem Vrittanta, in paperback, hardcover, and Kindle Unlimited editions.

You can grab a copy here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H2MF6268

If you'd like to support my work, you can buy me a coffee at: nrdudani@ptyes

To browse my other books, simply search for "Nayana Dudani" on Amazon.

All of my stories are available to read for free on Wattpad. Selected works can also be found on Inkitt, ScrollsStack, Ajoara, AO3, and Amazon.

          Thank you.

Somehow, what started as “too much free time” turned into six different identities and a whole universe of stories on Wattpad. And somewhere along that journey, something truly special happened.

I recently participated in the “Inked and Unwritten” Awards hosted by @Ashes51 — and walked away with not one, not two, but four wins across different categories.

Two awards were for They Came to Baghdad, including Best Romance and Comfort Read.
Jab Harry Killed Sejal took home Best Overall Story.
And Ohhh… (Int.) I Still Don’t Get It claimed a spot in a wonderfully chaotic category I clearly adored… even if I can’t seem to remember its exact name (some things never change).

Winning across four categories, in a single awards event, across multiple profiles — it feels surreal.

          For anyone curious:
They Came to Baghdad is now available as a paperback, hardcover, and Kindle edition on Amazon, while also being free to read on Wattpad and Inkitt.
Jab Harry Killed Sejal is available exclusively on Wattpad (@dudaninayana), free to read.
Ohhh… (Int.) I Still Don’t Get It lives on @whysomayuri — again, free to read.

And through all of this, I remain deeply grateful to @Ashes51 for creating a space where stories like mine could be seen, read, and celebrated.

Sometimes, six accounts and a restless mind really do pay off.

To everyone who participated in the Flamingo Awards,

The Flamingo Awards have now been cancelled for the time being. Please don’t worry — this was never a publicity stunt or an attempt to increase follower counts. The truth is simply that I ran into management difficulties. This was my first time hosting something like this, and I realised I wasn’t able to handle it the way it deserved.

I had previously announced that the awards were postponed and later cancelled. As of now, they have also been officially removed from my page, so you won’t find them there anymore.

I sincerely apologise to all the participants and truly appreciate your support and enthusiasm.

The Flamingo Awards will be reintroduced in the future with better management. When that happens, there will be compensation and a re-welcome gift for everyone who participated previously, along with a welcome gift for new participants.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. And once again, I’m sorry and grateful to all of you.

“The Dry Leaves” is now available as Kindle (both ku and non ku), scrollstack, Wattpad, Inkitt and ajoara editions. So whatever edition you'd prefer to read, is fine by me. I had sent three manuscripts to the kdp by the way. The status of
“The Dry Leaves” hardcover + paperback
And two other different manuscripts are yet to be confirmed
          But anyway
Currently “The Dry Leaves” is available as above mentioned editions. I will let you know about the status of other things when they get confirmed.
Till then I hope you read “The Dry Leaves” in whatever edition you'd prefer to read while I take @IrisThorn02 on a date at weird and odd hours on late nights.
          Anyway thank you.

@SeraDrake, you’ll be the first to know. If the other editions of my manuscripts don’t get accepted, I’ll send them to the other platforms you mentioned the other day. But regardless, you’ll be the first to hear if they get published through any platform. Thank you.

@whysomayuri - Let me know when it's available in paperback or hardback, please? I have a preference for hard copy over ebooks.

After graduating, I experienced a major shift in how writing functions in the real world. In school, writing always had a guaranteed audience — teachers were paid to read and evaluate it. Outside academic settings, however, I learned that attention must be earned rather than assumed.
Since graduation, I have written over thirty stories on Wattpad and received almost no engagement. This experience taught me that writing quality alone does not guarantee readership; visibility, relevance, and reader interest play equally important roles. I also faced contrasting experiences with research papers — one submission was rejected despite significant effort, while another was accepted and published elsewhere. These situations showed me that writing success often depends on context and audience fit, not just the work itself.
As a result, my approach to writing has shifted. I now think more about the reader’s perspective, clarity, and purpose rather than simply expressing ideas. I have also become more resilient, understanding that lack of immediate response does not necessarily reflect the value of the work.
Overall, transitioning from a captive academic audience to voluntary readers has made me more aware of the realities of attention, audience needs, and the importance of persistence in writing.

@whysomayuri OTOH, reader's perspective is somewhat self-limiting. In the end, a written work is a package of information that is supposed to add something to the reader: they couldn't be capable of making it by themselves, and it literally cannot be "what the reader wants" because readers cannot know this, before reading.

I sometimes think the democratization of reading is part of the same process as social media algorithms replacing journalism and in general the modern world process of enclosing people in smaller and smaller, self-referencing bubbles. Modern world experience does not challenge people, does not teach them, and does not enrich them, and I am afraid the modern reading experience reflects that...
