This is the story of how my life really started. Oh, where to start, where to start? I guess this is a place as good as any to start. I might as well tell you what happened after the incident. Because of that car accident, my life changed forever. I had to get a mechanical leg. I detested the mechanical leg. I felt like I had no control over it. Whenever I walked using it, I felt all wobbly. So I refused to go anywhere outside my house unless I had a wheelchair to help me move around.Over time, it also made me really shy. One of the biggest changes was that since I refused to do sports or any physical education, my dad made me find a hobby. So I picked to play the keyboard. I found out that I liked to sing when I played, too. And I absolutely fell in love with it!Another thing is that in P.E., I didn’t have to do what the class was doing, but the teacher and my father worked out that I should at least get a little bit of exercise each day. So I did that by having to put on my gym clothes like everybody else and I had to walk around and practice using my “leg.”Im still amazed that my dad could stay so persistent, even after everything he’d been through. I mean, think about it, my dad lost his wife and was left alone by himself to take care of two little girls. He didn’t have any idea how to do it, but somehow my dad did. He stayed strong, no matter how hard it hurt.He was brave, and I’m really proud of him for that.I guess it was really easy for Bella, because she was young and didn’t even know our mom like I did. But it could also have been so much harder for her, because she didn’t have a mom to help her out when times were tough. It might have made it better that she had me watching out for her. She has always looked up to me so much. And I will love her until the day I die.I was devastated when my mom died. But I made it through, knowing that my mom would be there waiting for me in heaven, watching over my family night and day, making sure everything was alright.

yes pickles and that reminds me there was a cute boy today at my bors baseball game we picked him up for the game cuz he needed a ride and my dads the coach but he was CUTE! and here it is::Prologue

          The Incident

When I was 7-years-old, I was in a terrible car accident that killed six innocent people! My mother died, but nobody else did in my family. Fortunately, my newborn baby sister Bella was with a baby sitter.

What happened is that a semi-truck ran a red light (he had passed out on the wheel for god-knows-what-reason) while another car was going across the intersection. The car in the middle of the intersection was a van and it had held five people. All of them died. We were lucky. My family was right behind the van, but my mother got the worst of it. We were turning right and my dad slammed on the brakes. We flew into a ditch; landing left side up in the air. The impact crushed my mom, who was sitting in the passenger’s seat. She died immediately. But right before she died, I saw the fear in her eyes. It's that picture that haunts me when I can't sleep at night.

That made six people, dead, without any warning to them. Everything that was on their minds before was gone, instantly. Everything that mattered before that just simply didn't anymore. It actually seems less stressful.

I had landed on my seat belt buckle and my body had accidentally pressed the button. So I went flying out of my seat and into the window on the right side. I landed on my leg getting my hip kind of twisted around. I had broken my leg!

The blood was rushing out of my leg. I thought I was going to die. My dad wouldn't leave, though. Not wanting to let his wife and daughter die, he grabbed my hand and tugged me out. We were taken to the hospital immediately because of my leg and other small injuries. My dad wanted me to live as well as I could, so he planned to get surgery on my leg to get a mechanical leg. But none of that mattered to me, for my mother was dead.
          Enjoy! :-)
