Kinda pointless by now, but I'm leaving Wattpad.

I'm still working on my visual novel, though. So if you're interested, check out my Twitter account @sociohat

Half of the threads in the Fantasy forum are about clichés, and the hating of them.

There's a quiet arrogance to the people who make these threads. As readers, they're entitled to read only the best and most original work-- God forbid Sturgeon's Law. Writers are regarded as lazy when they fall back to using clichés, regardless of their level of skill and experience. "If I can write something that isn't pure Tolkien fantasy-schlock, why can't you?"

"If I'm so good at writing, why aren't you?"

          Please, just stop doing this.

(I mean, I know you won't, but still.)

The Last Remnant has an interesting combat system. It combines tactics (I guess) with the classic JRPG tradition of adding numbers and obtuse mechanics to everything.

For example, you're introduced to the game's flanking mechanic early on. Problem is, you can't actually move or position your units like in an actual tactics game-- the way you position your units is by attacking an enemy. After that, automatic turn-based battles happen, and in the end you kinda just wonder how you even won the battle.

It's pretty good. I'm only a couple hours in.

I've been meaning to try that game since the requirements aren't that high. Appreciate the word Jether
